SCREEN SIMPLIFICATION - GuiXT allows the simple removal of unused fields from screens to aid simplification of data entry. In addition, push-buttons can be added to aid users in the tasks that they are performing.
CUSTOM INTERFACE AND FUNCTIONAL PROCESS ENHANCEMENT - by using GuiXT InputAssistant and Designer tools, developments can be undertaken which enhance the functional capability of the SAP system. Transactions can be seamlessly linked together to make end-to-end processing from a single entry point possible.
Images and pushbuttons can be placed on the screen, reducing the need to use the drop down menus, and thus greatly speeding up entry of data.
CREATING A PORTAL - GuiXT can easily deliver a simple portal access onto a manager’s desktop, to give them easy point-and-click access to the information they need.
With the portal it is possible to link to a variety of applications from within a single screen. For example a select number of SAP transactions or reports, intranet or internet sites, external programs (such as calendar or mail), other documents (help files or off-line reports). These can all be viewed via a portal Viewer, from within the SAP screen.
This can be a very cost effective way to implement simple portal technology, in companies where a large portal project may be prohibitive to implement when cost and time implications are considered.
LINKED TRANSACTIONS - the GuiXT InputAssistant is an additional tool that is delivered with SAP 4.6/4.7, but requires an additional license key from Synactive to allow its use.
InputAssistant facilitates the creation of single screen transactions where relevant fields that were on multiple tabs can be brought together onto one screen, simplifying use and speeding up the data input process.
AUTOMATED GENERATION OF GUI SCRIPTS - GuiXT Designer is an additional tool that can be installed and licensed to work with any SAP system.
The designer tool facilitates the partial automation of the generation of the GuiXT scripts, simplifying the design and creation of the modified screen.
INTEGRATE OFFICE APPLICATIONS INTO SAP - GuiXT Viewer is an additional tool that can be installed and licensed to work with any SAP system.
